I make what is
the perfect lunch,
and eat it sitting
as I should.

Just a bit of
mixed spring greens,
cucumber, jicama,
bell pepper, cilantro
and lime.

Steamed carrots,
in thin, inch and
a half sticks.
And kitchari,
which is my

Ayurveda frowns
on raw food
as a rule,
but rules were
made to break,
some is all
right for me.
some is necessary
in fact.
And greens give
the bitter taste
to keep me in line.
And don’t think
that’s not a challenge.
