with a velvet back.
Navy blue.
On a navy leather chair.
A cluster of navy chairs
and a matching sofa.
I hear voices, phones,
Frank Sinatra in a public place,
A new spot on the spiral,
the psychic one we travel,
familiar scenery slightly changed,
an experience I cherish,
the subtle transformations
that make us see
our daily lives anew
in ways we cannot describe,
but know.
