French and English lavender,
two curly geraniums,
three salvias,
purple, red and blue.
Potato bush finally in bloom.
All clustered together
so that I see them
from my side of the couch,
where I watch what I call
tree t.v. on the big screen –
the French doors.
The volunteer pepper
is sprinkled with red berries,
grapefruit brush the ground.
The last yucca bloom,
shriveled and charred from summer,
hangs on.
